Polymer Preparation and Surface Treatment Laboratory

The Innovation in Materials and Molecular Engineering Biomaterials for Regenerative Therapies (IMEM-BRT) group focuses its efforts on the development of innovative materials with technological applications. A complete human team, with extensive experience in materials and advanced synthesis and characterization techniques, is involved in the latest advances, especially in synthetic polymers, biopolymers, sustainable polymers (from renewable sources), compostable polymers, hybrid materials (modified with metals and ceramics), conductive polymers, and their properties. That is why it is necessary to carry out a previous design of the synthesis as well as the optimization of the polymerization process and purification of the final product.

The IMEM-BRT team usually offers surface treatment services, such as the modification and functionalization of plastic surfaces, that is, everything that surrounds the production of an advanced material, with specific functionality.< /p>
